PNC Park sprung to life Saturday as the All Star Craft Wine and Beer Festival settled in for a full day of festivities. Just as promised, guests were welcomed with a complimentary bag filled with a handy sampling glass, a map of vendor locations, and a full list of beers, wines, and cocktails available.
While every stand was packed with pleased event-goers, the star of the show was PNC Park’s beautiful setting. As guests meandered through the throngs of people, the green manicured field and the iconic bridges and buildings of Pittsburgh served as a beautiful backdrop for enjoying drinks, taking pictures, and talking with friends- both new and old.
Another wonderful element of the night was the presence of PAAR. As the charity recipient of the event, Pittsburgh Action Against Rape, serves as a source for those who have experience sexual assault and violence. Educating people about the importance of creating a safe atmosphere while having fun is an important lesson to share, and the All Star Beer, Wine, and Cocktail Fest was an apt platform.
They also received a portion of the proceeds from the silent auction, which boasted big-ticket items such as a Team Canada signed Sidney Crosby jersey, an all-inclusive trip to Bali, as well as signed memorabilia from celebrities Bill Murray, Tim Allen, and even Frank Sinatra.
The favorite drinks for the Popular Pittsburgh team included the brews from Southern Tier, the Boozy Tea, the Henry’s Hard Seltzer, and the Viking Mead! The ability to taste test from the hundreds of breweries allowed us to find a new favorite drink around ever corner!
Wandering around the event, guests also had the chance to meet with the Pirate Parrot and a few of other Pittsburgh celebrities! No one could pass up a photo-op with local favorite, Jalapeno Hannah.
Overall, this event proved to be a home run. Upcoming Events truly outdid themselves and Pittsburgh is hoping to welcome them back again soon for another over-the-top event!
Here are some more great shots from the night!
